We are very happy to announce that finally after over a year of waiting, one of the 12 approved courses we have submitted to the nursing CPD council was finally awarded 1.75 units. Respiratory Disorders and Appropriate Nursing Interventions will be available for enrollment by the second week of May. Its PRC Accreditation Number is MED-2019-331-204. We are following up on the other 11 approved courses in Nursing that still have not been awarded CPD units up to now. As explained in a previous post here, the Nursing CPD council was backlogged for a year in awarding CPD units for approved courses. They implemented the CPDAS online system in October 2020 to speed up the process. While there is some improvement, we think it will still take a while before they can process all the backlog. Rest assured we will continue to follow up on our courses until all the backlogs have been processed.
As before, we presume that the nursing CPD council will award one unit per course. Although experience show they usually award more. For example, the course on respiratory disorders was awarded 1.75 units even though it was designed for 1 unit. Optimal Management of Hypertension in the Elderly is the exact same course offered in Medicine. Again. it was designed for 1 unit but was awarded 2 units by the medicine CPD council. If in the end, the nursing CPD council awards more than 1 unit to a course, you keep the extra unit. If less than one unit, we will allow you to cover the deficit by completing more courses for free. What could be fairer than that. Once the credit units are out, price will reflect the PhP 200/unit for each course. Respiratory Disorders is priced at PhP 350 for 1.75 units.
